LAST WORD MEDIA

International B2B financial publishing

The project.

In 2010, we began working with international financial publisher, Last Word Media – the initial brief; take their fledgling digital business and “take it to the next level”, with a complete “turnkey” CMS migration and build of a new, enterprise level digital platform. There was also a need to provide product differentiation in what was a rather grey market – so a web design was required that introduced LWM’s modern approach to the financial services market.

The result was LWM’s digital business experienced a “hockey stick” increase in revenue, jumping from just under £100k to over £500k. The work included:

  • Complete redesign and build of 5 websites + all digital marketing assets, e.g. emails
  • Migration of 20,000 articles
  • User database migration and cleansing of 160k records
  • Full technical consulting of the entire digital business, from ad server to email broadcast systems

More information on the various elements of the project are listed below.

…Rupert & the team at digitalle were instrumental in really taking our business digital, delivering a fresh and appealing look combined with outstanding features, the results in our reader satisfaction and jump in our ad revenues spoke for themselves…

Web deliverables

Mobile website.

The LWM project was comprised of many separate phases, one being the custom events module. Ths was one of the most challenging modules we created as it required an interface for some extremely complex event programmes, with multiple (up to 9) streams, individual session choices and over multiple days.

The system also had be “user friendly” for both experienced PAs who are used to booking for their charges, and by “non technical” event attendees, who were from a variety of financial services backgrounds, from “one man IFA”, right up to some of the biggest fund managers in Europe, as during our research phase, we identified that many of these users did indeed book events themselves.

The result was a clearly laid out and highly flexible events booking and management system – please see below for some of the final hi-res mock ups.
